The NTC sensor (Negative Tempereche Sensor) measures the temperature of the water in the heating circuit and in the DHW circuit. The signal from the sensor is fed to the electronic control board of the boiler. When the temperature of the coolant changes, the resistance of the thermistor inside the sensor changes. The higher the water temperature, the lower the resistance of the sensor. At 20 ° C, the resistance of the NTC sensor is 10 kOhm. The dependence of resistance on temperature is nonlinear. The control board constantly compares the temperature detected by the NTC sensor with the temperature set on the boiler control panel. Depending on these data, the control board changes the voltage on the modulating coil of the gas valve.
